For the first time in the history of geba, self developed PC compounds named PC Gebalon Ultimate GF FR were submitted to the UL. PC Ultimate GF FR plastic granulates are now recognized by the UL and rated by UL 94 with V-0. In addition to the burning characteristics acknowledged by the UL, the flame-retardant polycarbonates have good insulating properties, a good chemical and weather resistance and a very good impact resistance. The flame-retardant polycarbonate is suitable for the use in technical casings, high-quality covers as well as for many products from the electrical and electronic industry. Application examples are plugs, single and double pressure controls, transformers and fuses. The UL recognition does not just apply to one color, but to all customized colors and glass-fibre reinforcements from 0 to 20 percent. Because of the UL recognition, the flame-retardant polycarbonates are suitable for components, which are exported in the USA.
