Cookies
Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your device.
They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or automatic deletion occurs via your web browser.
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. shopping cart function or display of videos). Other cookies may be used to analyse user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or for optimizing the website (e.g. cookies for measuring web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.

5. Analytics tools and advertising
Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)
This website uses the visitor action pixel from Meta to measure conversions. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Meta, the collected data are also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
This makes it possible to track the behavior of site visitors after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Meta advertisement. This allows the effectiveness of Meta advertisements to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised.
The collected data are anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data are stored and processed by Meta so that a connection to the respective user profile on Facebook or Instagram is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Meta Data Use Policy (https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/
). This enables Meta to place advertisements on Facebook or Instagram pages and on other advertising channels. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the website operator.
The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
We use the extended matching function within the Meta Pixel.
Extended matching enables us to transmit various types of data (e.g. place of residence, federal state, postal code, hashed e-mail addresses, names, gender, date of birth or telephone number) of our customers and interested parties that we collect via our website to Meta. This allows us to tailor our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram even more precisely to people who are interested in our offers. In addition, extended matching improves the attribution of website conversions and expands custom audiences.
If personal data are collected on our website using the tool described here and forwarded to Meta, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 GDPR). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its transfer to Meta. The processing carried out by Meta after the transfer is not part of the joint responsibility. The obligations jointly incumbent on us have been set out in an agreement on joint processing. The wording of the agreement can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum
. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing data protection information when using the Meta tool and for implementing the tool on our website in a manner that is secure under data protection law. Meta is responsible for the data security of Meta products. Data subject rights (e.g. requests for information) regarding the data processed by Facebook or Instagram can be asserted directly with Meta. If you assert your data subject rights with us, we are obliged to forward them to Meta.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here:

6. Plugins and tools
OpenStreetMap
We use the map service of OpenStreetMap (OSM).
We integrate the map material of OpenStreetMap on the server of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The United Kingdom is considered a data protection-safe third country. This means that the United Kingdom has a level of data protection equivalent to the level of data protection in the European Union. When using the OpenStreetMap maps, a connection is established to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. In the process, your IP address and other information about your behavior on this website may, among other things, be transmitted to OSMF. OpenStreetMap may store cookies in your browser or use comparable recognition technologies for this purpose.
The use of OpenStreetMap is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and easy findability of the locations stated on our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
7. Own services
Handling applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, by post or via an online application form). In the following, we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes made during interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary for the decision on establishing an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to persons involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.
Retention period of the data
If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application procedure (rejection or withdrawal of the application). After that, the data will be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to a pending or threatened legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for continued retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
